Amount: 3 1/2 balls (110 m/ball)
I have wanted a Paris Loop ever since I saw the pattern in MagKnits. Unfortunately, I waited too long to buy my yarn, and then I missed the big sale at Herrschners. I think everyone scooped up the yarn at the sale, and there was no more to be found. Once I was finished kicking myself, I thought to check on eBay. Lo and behold, I ended up winning TWO auctions (because there was no damn way I was not getting myself some), and became the proud owner of blue and pink Cicco. Then, it sat in stash for months. Since I am now on a kick to knit the stuff I really, really like (novel idea), I dug it out from the depths.
The pattern is very easy, but the yarn is a little weird to knit with...a little hard on the hands. Although, mistakes become virtually nonexistent because the loops hide everything (see close-up at left)! The pattern does not involve any shaping, but I wish I had decreased around the neck area...little too wide for my tastes. My version was knit on smaller needles and is a little shorter than the original. It is very soft and cozy. Of course now that it has finally decided to act like Spring around here, I won't wearing it much until Fall. Still, if feels good to finish one of those projects I couldn't WAIT to knit!
