So close, yet I feel like I am still so far. The Bean Bolero is almost finished. The cuffs need some ribbing and then on to the seaming. My LEAST favorite part of sewing. I wish I lived next door to the Rabbit so I could ply her with margaritas to help me with my seaming. She is, after all, the Queen of Seams.
I am pretty happy with the way this is turning out. The fit seems to be right on...plenty of growing room but not too big so that it can actually be worn this year. The one thing I don't like is the M1's I had to do around the collar. No matter what I did I still ended up with little holes. Any suggestions? They don't look too bad where I did them at the beginning of a row, but the ones at the end look a little wonky. Hopefully they will smooth out some when bathtime comes. I'll tell you one thing, this Cotton Angora SHEDS like nobody's business! There came a point where I couldn't knit it anymore on the Metro because people kept giving me dirty looks while they picked the fuzz from their eyes and mouth. By the time I got to work you would have swore I had been making out with a muppet. Not attractive. Thank God for packing tape!
