Yes, I have been knitting. This is part of Emily from Twilleys of Stamford's Freedom Denim book. Kristine at Knit Happens had a copy, and I loved practically every pattern in the book. I ordered a copy, along with the Cotton DK book, from Handknitting. God, mail from Canada takes FOREVER! I probably could have walked up there and picked the books up for as long as snail mail took. Damn customs! I'm not using the Twilleys yarns, but Debbie Bliss Cotton Cashmere in the green #26. I have the back and one sleeve done (other sleeve in progress shown here). I really like this yarn, and I normally HATE cotton. My first big project was a sweater for my daughter done in Rowan Handknit DK Cotton, and it is still sitting here unfinished over a year later. I absolutely hated that yarn.
I had been hounding KH for weeks about the new Debbie Bliss Cathay. I think I got the last book the shop had in its first shipment...they went so fast! I had planned to make the Asymmetric Ribbed Top next with the red Cathay, but now I think I want to do Ella next from the Cotton DK book mentioned above (see picture at right). I have enough of the pink Cathay to make Ella, but I might need to think about it. I can't decide between the pink Cathay or using another color of the Cotton Cashmere (did I mention I REALLY like the Cotton Cash) Or, I could also probably use the new Rowan Cashcotton DK. The gauge is about the same on any of them, but the Cashcotton is the cheaper choice. Hmmm...what's a girl to do...too many choices. Stop. Me. Now. NO. MORE. YARN.

Teeheheehehe. You just wrote the exact conversation I have in my head pretty much daily!
;)
Thanks for the sox support. What can I say? I added it to my list. I'll probably be 82 when I finish knitting it.

I like the green cotton cash. Is it a new color? Also, how long did it take to get the patterns from Canada? I ordered the same ones...they were shipped last Friday. I'll be watching your progress on Emily since I'm interested in making one myself.
