No, do not adjust your monitor. It is true. Clapotis is finally FINISHED! (cheers and horns blowing). I wore it to work today, but I think it could use a good blocking. The ends curl up just a little too much for my taste. I am very happy with the way it turned out. I know Koigu was probably not the ideal yarn for a Clapotis, but I love the color pattern and how light the yarn feels. The finished size was about 20" wide x 63" long (without blocking). Just the right length to be a scarf, or long enough to be a shawl if stretched.
And would you believe that I actually DID have enough yarn. I had almost one whole "egg" left. I guess I panicked too soon. Yesterday, the box from Patternworks came in the mail. Anyone want two skeins of Koigu? Halfway to a Clapotis...

Love your koigu clapotis! How may skeins did you use and what size needles?
Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing as Michelle - how many skeins did you use? (I'm assuming 4 if 2 is half way to a Clapotis.) Which size needles? Did you stay true to the pattern? I love it so much I want to go buy some koigu tomorrow to make one!

Hi, I'm just wondering if that's Koigu KPPPM that you're using for the Clapotis, and what size needle? Did you cast on the same number of stitches as the original pattern in Knitty?

Darn it, I'm not the first one to see the extra Koigu! ;) (I was thinking they'd make lovely socks too... yummy, pretty socks...) Your Clapotis is quite lovely - you did a great job with it and I can not wait to see it in person!!

Looks gorgeous! I think any kind of yarn and weight would work with this pattern, as long as you have enough of it... Extra Koigu for matching socks, baybee!
