Due to this showing up, and my husband being home sick, I wasn't at work today.
So, I worked on this...
My very first sock! I have been taking a sock class at Knit Happens, and have come to realize that DPNs aren't as scary as they look. Even small ones like these no. 1's aren't so bad. I'm just not sure I will make many socks after this pair. I took the class because I figured socks were not the type of thing I could teach myself to knit. And I was right...I don't think I could have gotten this far on my own. I will probably knit some for my bean, but my husband doesn't like socks above his ankle, and I'm not a big sock fan myself. Great present idea for my family members living up in the wilds of Upstate NY. These are destined for my mom. She is the perfect recipient as she will love them regardless of how they come out!
Oh, I also did this today. Had a picnic in a tent! Anything to keep a 3 yr old entertained. (Yes, it was lunchtime, and yes, I was still in my pj's. But look how stylish they are...leopard is IN this year!)
